SRD is dedicated to providing quality education in Syria that enables our future generations to receive the opportunities to pursue their dreams to the highest levels. So that they don’t have to feel blocked by economic disasters or the civil war, but they’ll know that if they work hard, their efforts will be rewarded.
Support Their DreamsEvery contribution helps students achieve a sustainable education.
Right now in Syria, over 2.4 million students are out of school.
Nearly 40% are girls. Children that able to attend school lack the
resources necessary to offer quality education. Whether that’s
overcrowded classrooms, or buildings with inadequate water and
sanitation facilities, electricity, heating and ventilation.
High school graduates are unable to find opportunities to pursue
higher education due to the thousands of schools that have been bombed
in the last ten years. One in three schools can no longer be used
because it has been damaged, destroyed, or occupied. The current state
of Syria’s Education sector will hinder the country’s future economic
growth and contributions to local and global development.
By donating to SRD today, you can help change the future of Syria’s
young generations, and help provide them with the opportunities they
deserve to pursue their dreams.
22 year-old Noor was studying for her bachelor’s degree when she was forced to leave her studies and her home to seek shelter in a safer area. After relocating, Noor heard about SRD’s Global High School (GHS) diploma program which would allow her not only the chance to later pursue her studies at a reputable university either inside or outside of Syria, but to also learn English. The scholarship she received to attend GHS covers 85% of her tuition and fees. Noor’s dream is to seek admission in an internationally-accredited university after completing her diploma at GHS.
Support Dreams Like Noor’s TodayHelp students in Syria return to school after a decade of crisis.
While schools around the world reopen, students in Syria have not attended in years. Thousands of schools have been targeted, bombed, damaged, destroyed, or occupied.
Your donation will allow displaced students to continue their education, earn a degree, and give them chance at a livable future.
High school graduates are unable to find opportunities to pursue higher education, and over 2.4 million students are unable to attend school at all. An entire generation’s growth, as well as Syria’s development, is at stake.
Education is a right, not a privilege.
Students who were forced to stop their education are now able to resume their studies at the International University of Science and Renaissance (I-USR), a private, nonprofit, hybrid online/campus-based university.
Help address the essential need for higher education as well as developmental education and training in Syria.
Education plays a vital role in any country’s growth and development, and it is one of the most underfunded sectors in the Syrian response. Health and Medical Sciences, Computer Information Engineering, Economics & Business Administration, and other vital topics are among the 20 undergraduate degrees offered.
YOUR SUPPORT WILL CHANGE LIVES
