It is with great sadness that we extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims of the attack in Al-Bab City. We wish safety and a speedy recovery to those who have been injured.
The truck bombing attack occurred at about 1:30 pm on October 6 in a busy residential neighborhood at the center of Al-Bab city. At least 18 civilians have lost their lives, and more than 70 are injured.
Three humanitarian workers of Syria Relief and Development’s COVID-19 referral system were injured — the driver, among them, is in critical condition, and the vehicle was damaged during the explosion. The vehicle, affiliated with Bizaah Health Care Center, was used to transport suspected cases of COVID-19.
We are deeply concerned with the recent attacks in northern Syria. We sincerely hope that a prompt and definitive solution of peace will emerge.
