As Syria moves into recovery, rebuilding the health system is critical. SRD is building on years of investment in health facilities, workforce development, surveillance and essential services to help create a stronger, more resilient system for the future.
At the intersection of SRD’s healthcare and protection work, our maternal and newborn health programs support women throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period while helping newborns get a healthier start in life.
Our programs strengthen access to skilled care, maternal and newborn services, nutrition, reproductive health and health facilities equipped to respond to complications and emergencies.
SRD is a partner in EveryPregnancy, a global initiative working to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.
