DONATEUrgent Appeal: Emergency Response 2024
The recent developments in Syria have left thousands of families in desperate need of humanitarian assistance, and SRD is tirelessly working on the ground to deliver life-saving support. We have mobilized ambulances to provide emergency medical care, addressing critical needs during this challenging time. To combat hunger, we are distributing food kits to struggling families, offering immediate relief and a glimmer of hope. As part of our commitment to long-term care, we are preparing to open a hospital to perform life-saving surgeries and provide specialized care for women and children, ensuring the most vulnerable receive the treatment they urgently need.
Many of these individuals have faced displacement countless times, living in relentless instability, enduring hunger, freezing winters, and unimaginable hardships. Right now, they need us—and we need you.
Your support can bring hope and make a life-saving difference. Please join us in providing critical medical care and essential aid to those who need it most.

DONATEBuild a University Mosque
At the heart of our university campus stands a mosque, a place of solace and spiritual rejuvenation for students navigating the challenges of displacement and poverty. For many, it is more than a house of worship—it is a sanctuary where they can seek comfort, find strength, and reconnect with community amidst the pressures of academic life and the realities of living in a conflict zone. The mosque fosters a sense of community and hope, reminding students that they are not alone in their journey. However, the mosque remains incomplete, and we need your support to finish and furnish this space. Together, we can provide a refuge of peace and prayer for these resilient students as they strive to rebuild their futures.

DONATEBuild a University Teaching Hospital
Construction has already begun on the teaching hospital for our nonprofit university iUSR, in northwestern Syria. This is a vital project that promises to transform the lives of refugee students living in poverty and the communities they serve. This facility will provide aspiring doctors with the hands-on training they need to heal a region devastated by war. However, we’ve hit a financial roadblock—without additional funding, we cannot complete the building or equip it with the necessary tools and resources. Your support is critical to finishing this project and ensuring these students have a chance to rebuild their futures through medicine. Every contribution brings us closer to opening the doors of hope and healing. Will you help us complete this vital mission?

DONATEWinter Relief for Vulnerable Families in Need
This winter, countless families in Northern Syria and Jordan will confront the bitter cold and wetness without the essentials needed to stay warm and safe. For many, the drop in temperature isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s life-threatening. With winter temperatures plunging as low as -6°C (21°F) in some regions, snowstorms, freezing winds, and cold rains are common, especially for those living in makeshift shelters. After years of conflict and displacement, many families have lost their homes and access to even the most basic resources, making the harsh winter months a season of survival against the elements.
In response, SRD is providing immediate relief through Winter Care Packages for those in need. These packages are designed to equip families with the tools they need to protect themselves from the cold and minimize the risks posed by severe weather. The items included are thermal blankets, warm clothing and shoes —basic supplies that can make all the difference in enduring Syria and Jordan’s harsh winter conditions.
We are offering several donation options to help make an impact:
- Thermal Blankets: $10 each – Provide a shield against the biting cold, offering comfort and protection to those who need it most.
- Warm Clothing + Shoes: $40 each – Help families stay warm and dignified during the winter months, protecting them from the harsh elements.
- Combined Package: Blanket + Winter Clothing: $50 – A comprehensive kit to ensure families have both warmth and protection.
Your support is critical. By donating, you can help deliver warmth and safety to families struggling to survive. Together, we can provide immediate relief and restore hope to those facing the freezing cold. Join SRD in our effort to ensure no family is left unprotected this winter.

DONATEHelp Build the University Training Hospital
In Northwestern Syria, the echoes of conflict are still heard, but so is the sound of hope. IUSR, the leading private university in the region, is more than an academic institution—it’s a lifeline for thousands of students who have faced unimaginable adversity. Our students are determined to rebuild their lives and their communities, despite having been displaced over 20 times in the past decade. They are studying to become the engineers, teachers, and business leaders who will lead Syria into a brighter future.
However, there’s a critical gap in our vision: healthcare. With healthcare infrastructure severely lacking, countless families are without access to proper medical care. That’s why we’re launching a campaign to build the iUSR University Hospital, a teaching hospital that will not only treat patients but also train the next generation of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals. This hospital will be a beacon of hope and healing for the entire region.
Why This Matters
Addressing a Major Need: The people of Northwestern Syria need healthcare services now more than ever. By building this hospital, we’re creating a sustainable solution that will benefit countless families for generations to come.
Training the Next Generation: Our hospital will serve as a training ground for medical students who are committed to staying in Syria and rebuilding its healthcare system. This is sustainable development at its best—empowering local talent to create a healthier future.
Supporting a Resilient Community: Every donation helps us take a step closer to realizing a university hospital that will serve a community that’s endured incredible hardship. Your support not only builds a hospital, but it also builds hope.
We can’t do this without you. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to cover the construction costs of the iUSR University Hospital through donations, grants and gifts in kind.
