SRD focuses on both physical safety and emotional support providing children with access to psyco-social therapists. SRD also partners with initiatives like Ahlan Ya Simsim, which provide emotional support and interventions through their programs and educational media.

Join hands with us to reshape the trajectory of education in Syria. According to UNICEF as of 2023, a staggering reality: just 40% of students (equivalent to 120,000 children) are anticipated to achieve the milestone of graduating with a secondary certificate. This vital statistic paints a concerning picture, with graduation rates projected to plummet further to a mere 25% by 2032. In this projection, only 115,000 Grade 12 students are expected to graduate, while a substantial 341,000 students (75%) face the heartbreaking prospect of not completing their secondary education.
The resilient children of Northern Syria have already faced unimaginable challenges due to the impact of war and natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake. Despite these hardships, they are determined to learn, grow, and build a better future for themselves and their communities. The Global School, located just outside Idlib, stands as a sanctuary of learning for 540 elementary students.
