Saving Syrian Lives
The SRD healthcare system is driven by a comprehensive, preventative continuum of care, ensuring that patients receive services that address their physical and mental well-being. Neglected issues have an impact on other aspects of health and ultimately bring down a once-thriving society.
The grave healthcare crisis has two interconnected factors. One, hospitals have been consistently attacked. Two, Syria is the most dangerous place on Earth to be a healthcare provider. Syria has experienced a sharp decline in the number of healthcare professionals. As a result, the country’s largest humanitarian need is access to quality healthcare.

Food is scarce for Syrians due to both the price and the country’s supply. The situation is considerably more dire in areas under siege. Due to the significant cost of raising animals, many Syrian families do not have access to meat.
SRD’s food security programming strives to ensure optimum health, growth, and development for families, particularly children, by addressing Syrians’ urgent need for basic necessities and access to nourishing food.

Help students in Syria return to school after a decade of crisis.
While schools around the world reopen, students in Syria have not attended in years. Thousands of schools have been targeted, bombed, damaged, destroyed, or occupied.
Your donation will allow displaced students to continue their education, earn a degree, and give them chance at a livable future.
High school graduates are unable to find opportunities to pursue higher education, and over 2.4 million students are unable to attend school at all. An entire generation’s growth, as well as Syria’s development, is at stake.
Education is a right, not a privilege.
Students who were forced to stop their education are now able to resume their studies at the International University of Science and Renaissance (I-USR), a private, nonprofit, hybrid online/campus-based university.
Help address the essential need for higher education as well as developmental education and training in Syria.
Education plays a vital role in any country’s growth and development, and it is one of the most underfunded sectors in the Syrian response. Health and Medical Sciences, Computer Information Engineering, Economics & Business Administration, and other vital topics are among the 20 undergraduate degrees offered.
YOUR SUPPORT WILL CHANGE LIVES
Your donation to I-USR will allow displaced Syrian students to continue their education, earn a degree, and build their future, as well as the future of Syria. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Your Zakat has funded some of our crucial humanitarian work which benefits those in northwest Syria. Your generous support has enabled vulnerable families and children to have better lives. All of Syria Relief & Development’s beneficiaries meet the requirements to receive Zakat donations, and all of our programs are Zakat-eligible.
The incredible humanitarian efforts of our 2,000 women and men on the ground in Syria have been made possible through the generosity of our donors for life-saving programs. As of January 1, 2022, we’ve delivered over $128 million in life-saving aid and over 16.28 million humanitarian interventions since 2011.

For the past ten years, displaced Syrian families have barely made it through the winter, surviving in conditions of freezing rain, snowstorms, and floods. Poor housing conditions and mass displacements have meant that countless families are exposed to bitter winter conditions, without shelter and warm clothing. Over the past ten years, many children have frozen to death in the bitter cold.
To add to these dire conditions, the health of these affected populations has been impacted since the winter brings illness due to a lack of warmth, food, and shelter.
In order to address these dire needs in the winter, Syria Relief and Development’s humanitarian teams are on the ground delivering vital, life-saving services to respond to these pressing needs. Your donation can save lives this winter.

Northwest Syria has been burning for years, Intensified Attacks and deadly airstrikes continue. Civilians continue to forcibly flee their homes and lose their lives. Over 2 million have fled their homes and are displaced in camps, including 500,000 children.
More than 113 schools were completely destroyed affecting more than 191,233 students. And more than 67 health facilities, including our Pulse of Life and Al Ferdous Maternity and Child Care Hospitals were completely destroyed.
SRD is providing primary health care services, chronic disease surveillance, psychological support, medicine, shelter, clean water, and nutritional baskets.
As of January 1, 2020, Syria Relief & Development has delivered over $90 million in aid to over 11 million beneficiaries. With over 1,200 staff on the ground in Syria, our brave aid workers have delivered humanitarian care amid conflict and continuous attacks on civilians, hospitals, and schools.
The SRD family remains hopeful for a permanent peaceful solution to the violence in Syria and we continue to bring necessary and life-saving services to Syrian men, women, and children who continue to face the most severe forms of suffering. Massive displacements, volatile security, and a shortage of food, water and housing continue to plague these individuals.
They need our support to survive. Your donation funds lifesaving medical care, shelter, and basic human necessities.
Please donate today and give them hope.

Donate NowEmergency Ambulance Network
Health care provision to Syrians displaced by the ongoing conflict is a critical and complex issue. Many displaced families fled their homes in already poor health and have since been further affected by trauma and a lack of basic human necessities.
Syria Relief and Development (SRD) has deployed a network of 21 ambulances to provide access to emergency healthcare and trauma services region-wide. The network provides patients in critical emergency care with transportation to trauma facilities, and EMTs provide life-sustaining treatment during transport. Ambulances are equipped with the latest modern medical equipment and the most experienced medical staff in the area. Specialties include care for premature babies, the elderly, and those with critical conditions, as well as patient transport between hospitals.
Approximately 1,400 patients are provided care by SRD’s Emergency Ambulance network each month. In 2018, 19,742 patients were served.
These ambulances serve as the front line for saving the lives of displaced Syrians in need of emergency healthcare services.
