DONATEProtection & Empowerment
The ongoing conflict in Syria has left a profound impact on every individual—men, women, and children—resulting in over 14.2 million people desperately in need of safeguarding. With half of the nation’s pre-war population displaced, addressing the consequences extends beyond the conventional boundaries of vulnerability. Protection in this context encompasses not only physical safety but also the intricate emotional and psychological well-being of those affected by the conflict.
Critical physical protection requirements for Syrians include shielding them from aerial bombardments, armed hostilities, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), environmental threats, and other factors that worsen negative health outcomes. Simultaneously, addressing the emotional and psychological protection needs necessitates a comprehensive approach that holistically caters to the intricate and diverse needs of these communities.
Our protective measures, spanning general protection, gender-based violence, and child protection, underscore our commitment to creating a safer environment and nurturing the well-being of those enduring the crisis’s repercussions. Join us in fostering resilience and protection for every individual affected by the Syrian conflict.

DONATEEmbracing Warmth this Winter
As we approach this winter season, many people in Syria find themselves in their 13th consecutive year of displacement. In this period, they are faced with increasing difficulties, including food insecurity, escalating living costs, and the aftermath of the earthquakes that shook the region in February 2023. These earthquakes have displaced over 50,000 families across Syria.
Each year in Syria, the cold brutality of snowstorms and freezing rain claims the lives of displaced individuals living in camps. Syria Relief and Development’s field staff is present on the frontlines, working tirelessly on the ground. Throughout this winter season, we are actively delivering humanitarian aid, amplifying the incredible impact of your generous contributions. Your contribution goes beyond offering warmth; it’s a lifeline.
SRD works to provide humanitarian crisis relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria. We are committed to giving families in Syria critical winter support. Your generous donation can make the survival of a family possible, providing them with the essential necessities needed to weather this unforgiving winter season.

DONATEMake an Impact this Giving Tuesday
In the midst of the ongoing crisis, every act of kindness can create a ripple of change. This Giving Tuesday, let’s come together to make a profound difference in the lives of those Syrians in need.
Hunger Crisis in Syria:
The World Food Programme (WFP) estimates that 12.1 million Syrians – more than half the population – are in the grip of hunger. As we gather around tables with loved ones, let’s remember those in Syria who don’t have that luxury. Your support can help provide essential food and nourishment to those in need.
Displacement in Northwestern Syria:
Over 12 million people have been displaced in Northwestern Syria due to the conflict, and they are facing harsh conditions and uncertainty about their future. Your contribution can provide shelter, warmth, and a glimmer of hope for these families.
Why Choose Syria Relief and Development?
We’re not just any organization; we’re a force of change with a proven track record. Since 2011, we have served a staggering 17.16 million interventions, offering life-saving aid, healthcare, education, and more. We are proud to be one of the top organizations on the ground in Syria, focused not only on providing relief – but also on planting seeds of sustainable development in Syria. When you donate to SRD, you are making a tangible impact and ensuring your generosity reaches those who need it most.
This Giving Tuesday, be the change in Syria. Your support matters. Join us in making a real difference in the lives of those affected by the Syrian crisis.

DONATEEmergency Response to the Escalating Hostility
On October 5th, there was an escalation of hostilities in northwestern Syria, with Syrian regime forces and allies targeting residential areas in Idlib and Aleppo. Over 70 locations were affected, including Al-Fardous Hospital in Darat Azza which was briefly evacuated due to heavy bombardment. In the face of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Syria, we are launching an urgent campaign to extend our help and support to the innocent people fleeing from relentless bombardment. In the first couple days, 6 SRD ambulances responded to 20 war-related injuries, and 4 were transferred to Bab al-Hawa border crossing. SRD also prepared 200 food baskets for distribution to newly displaced individuals at temporary locations, coordinating with other organizations for distribution.
SRD is dedicated to providing vital aid and immediate assistance to those affected by these ongoing hostilities. We aim to provide shelter, food, medical care, and other essential resources to families and individuals who have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety and refuge.
Your generous contributions will support medical care, shelter, and food desperately needed in the area. Join us in making a difference during this challenging period. Your help can save lives and provide a glimmer of light in the midst of darkness.

In the face of adversity, Syrian families, especially orphans and those who have endured multiple displacements or natural disasters, continue to endure the harsh realities of conflict, displacement, and food insecurity. This Ramadan, let’s come together to make a difference. Your support will provide essential food baskets filled with nutritious staples, ensuring families, including the most vulnerable, have the sustenance they need to observe this sacred month with dignity and hope.

DONATESponsor Orphan Students
Join hands with us to reshape the trajectory of education in Syria. According to UNICEF as of 2023, a staggering reality: just 40% of students (equivalent to 120,000 children) are anticipated to achieve the milestone of graduating with a secondary certificate. This vital statistic paints a concerning picture, with graduation rates projected to plummet further to a mere 25% by 2032. In this projection, only 115,000 Grade 12 students are expected to graduate, while a substantial 341,000 students (75%) face the heartbreaking prospect of not completing their secondary education.
The resilient children of Northern Syria have already faced unimaginable challenges due to the impact of war and natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake. Despite these hardships, they are determined to learn, grow, and build a better future for themselves and their communities. The Global School, located just outside Idlib, stands as a sanctuary of learning for 540 elementary students. With your support, students in need, most orphaned and struggling can find normalcy and growth attending school.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact. Your support will not only transform their lives but also contribute to the larger goal of building a resilient, educated, and sustainable future in Northern Syria.
