Emergency Response
Rapid and effective response to emergencies is at the core of our work which includes emergency preparedness and early action and also encourages resilience and development.
SRD respond to emergencies and to the needs of families fleeing violence, providing them with increased access to primary healthcare services.
Our Approach
RAPID RESPONSE MECHANISMS RRMs provide support to vulnerable populations in the form of health, outreach, case management, psychosocial support services and referral mechanisms with the aim of establishing, strengthening, and operationalizing rapid mobilization in areas responding to the sudden onset of emergencies. These programs work to strengthen prevention, mitigation and response measures and entail the provision of services such as case management, PSS and health assistance. Outreach activities will help identify cases of vulnerability, abuse and exploitation, which will be assisted in existing facilities and through referrals to existing service providers. The RRM component of the program will enhance the emergency preparedness and response capacity to better respond to emergencies. The RRM will facilitate improved information-sharing and coordination with other local actors with the overall aim of improving the efficiency and timeliness of the response to large-scale displacements or other significant negative situational changes.
